Objetivo

O objetivo do curso é analisar aspectos chaves da história e da atual conjuntura palestina, para em seguida voltar-se às relações entre a Palestina e o Brasil, pensadas a partir da sociedade civil e das questões sociais que apresentam elos de semelhança no que diz respeito a suas fontes, expressões e tentativas de solução. As aulas serão ministradas com a colaboração de professores de universidades palestinas ou da região, em suas áreas de pesquisa e reflexão.

O curso acontecerá no formato online, sendo gratuito e aberto à comunidade em geral. Serão 16 aulas, com até duas horas de duração cada uma, divididas em 50 minutos de exposição, seguidos de rodadas de perguntas e respostas. As aulas serão ministradas em inglês.

The objective of this course is to analyze key aspects of the history and current state of Palestine, and then reflect on the relations between Palestine and Brazil. These relations will be viewed from the perspective of the Palestinian and Brazilian civil societies, considering the possible relations between some of their main social issues. Moreover, by deconstructing misconceptions about the Palestinian and Brazilian civil society movements, we hope to promote the exchange of knowledge, opening the
way for epistemologies that, in this way, may be constructed collaboratively.

This is an online extension course, free of charge, and open to the broader community. The classes will be held once a week, every Thursday, with up to 2h30 of duration, of which 50 minutes for the exposition, followed by Q&A, and will be taught in English. They will be held mainly on Thursdays, from the beginning of March to June 2023.
