Programa

Este curso propõe uma análise crítica da guerra no século XXI, com foco nos conflitos localizados e suas conexões com as estruturas globais de poder. A partir do estudo da Guerra na Síria, o curso examina como conflitos regionais se constituem como arenas de competição geopolítica e mecanismos de contestação da ordem internacional. Serão abordados os principais debates sobre a natureza da guerra. Em termos ontológicos, o curso questiona as fronteiras entre conflitos internos e externos; do ponto de vista epistemológico, propõe uma abordagem analítica que integra dinâmicas locais e imperativos sistêmicos. Ao fim do curso, os participantes serão capazes de compreender como guerras aparentemente locais estão profundamente imbricadas nas disputas estratégicas globais, exigindo novas categorias e modelos para a análise dos conflitos contemporâneos.
